Did you know that Bartenieff Fundamentals is a type of Dance Therapy? Bartenieff Fundamentals is housed within the Laban Movement Analysis and focuses on movement integration and harmony. Developed by Irmgard Bartenieff, a dancer and physical therapist, this is a wonderful method of training individuals to move in an easeful, connected way based on the work of Rudolph Laban (Laban Movement Analysis) and developmental movement patterns. Dancers, actors, and musicians have found that the practice of Laban/Bartenieff movements does wonders for their performances, while people rehabilitating from injuries or mobility conditions find it helps them regain functional movement, moving more fluidly and with greater ease.
MOVE Studios is the only Laban/Bartenieff-based movement studio in Colorado. This movement analysis and body connectivity focused approach means that your education starts with evaluating your body organization and resetting your neurological patterning to facilitate your successful progression from where you are to where you want to be.
